History
When the Masats Brothers first began to use the scraps of wood left over in the family toy workshop where they worked, as well as in their kitchen, they never imagined what they were starting while they were making their first pencils with coloured leads.
It was 1933, in Angles (Girona), and this was the beginning of Alpino.
After a difficult period during the Civil War, the brand became well known in 1942. It achieved great success and it moved to Barcelona in 1946. Since then Alpino has constantly stood out as a leader for its new designs, brands and communications strategies, and has been present in Spanish homes and schools for generations. Alpino has become a leader in children’s stationery thanks to its high level of quality and continuous development.
