Who would have said that the lifelong Alpino coloured pencils would emerge from a family-run toy factory.
Alpino started out back in 1933, in Anglès (Girona), when the Masats brothers used pieces of leftover wood to make toys where they worked and, in their kitchen, they made the first pencils and lead colours.
A background in colour, along with uncertain stages, until the company began to be successful in 1942. And it was in 1943 when the legendary Alpine brand was founded. In 1946 it moves to Barcelona and this is when Alpino starts to excel with its new designs, brands and communication strategies, and it has been in Spanish homes and schools for generations.
Today, Alpino is a benchmark company in the world of children’s stationery thanks to its top quality and its constant evolution.
